Her Home

David Cliff Apartment #




Neo's home is a small, bordering on cramped 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in one of the few apartment buildings in Gaze. It is not terribly far from the home that Ruby Rose and her family occupy in the district, but is not so close as to be 'in their face.' It's sparingly furnished with comfortable, if utilitarian furnishings and, while it is obviously lived in there's no real effort to give it a 'homey' feel. The person who lives here stays in the house, cleans up, prepares their meals, sleeps, and that's about it. They don't so much 'live' here as they 'exist' here for long periods of time during the day.

The blinds are always drawn, making it unlikely that anyone has ever seen the interior from the outside.

Those familiar with it will still see signs of various touches that Emerald Sustrai put on the apartment. It is the same apartment, by some weird miracle, that the two shared in the nightmares of Julia Sodder. It still feels at times like Neopolitan only goes through the motions of caring for it, but it is kept clean and tidy in case Emerald ever reappears.

Because it's bound to come up that Neo may give a person a reason to attempt to track her movements, here are a few notes:

Her Entry and Exit to her home:
Every day, when Neo leaves her home, she does so after checking through her door's peep hole to ensure people are not presence. She leaves after using her semblance to cause her to appear to be one of the natives, a very generic young woman with green eyes and dark hair that she identified in town shortly after arriving. She is seen entering her floor and home using the same disguise.

She is not seen entering the David Cliff Apartment complex at any time without a semblance on, and frequently changes her appearance when coming and going to that of various natives she sees (possibly even Sleepers with OOC permission).

She isn't known to be a sociable neighbor. Her home is quiet at all hours of the day, and she does not meet with or speak to her neighbors. If someone comes to her home and knocks when she doesn't expect them, she's more likely to not answer the door and keep quiet.

(Yes, the 4'10" shrimp's a bouncer at the illegal gambling establishment of Deerington. It's good for a laugh, but she's scary when she wants to be.)

Neo arrives under semblance-based disguise at the Fake Hair of the Dog ahead of shift every day she works, downs her drink before arriving at the other side. Only when in the "Real Bar" does she allow her semblance to dissipate and perform her duties as a bouncer there. She resumes a semblance afterwards and leaves the fake bar through the back entrance, changing her semblance once or twice depending on how paranoid she is before going about her business.

What Does This Mean:
It's possible to track her movements and to find her in town. She can't maintain semblances 24-7, as her stamina has limits. However, she tries to make her basic footprint in the community hard to place. There's no obvious leads to where she is, and efforts to find her require just that, effort.

That said? Deerington is NOT a large town, and she knows it. Finding her is more of an inevitability, than it is a possibility. But she will make it that much harder, if for no other reason than to spite her enemies.

Neo Around town

So, if she's hard to find in her home, what about when she's not at work and not at home? What then?

She's not able to keep that Semblance up 24/7, not without a stabilizing gem anyway, so she doesn't try. She saves her semblance and disguises for times when she needs it, either for infiltration, hunting someone or getting into and out of her home (which she frankly treats more like a safe house).

Beyond that, she can be found in town at times. She neither makes a secret of her presence, nor does she telegraph it. She's usually found in places like the coffee shop, where she has a nice view of larger parts of town, waiting for something interesting. At times, she can be found at the rec center, training very obviously. She spends at least 1-2 hours of every day, if not more, in physical training of some form or another.

Usually her shifts as bouncer are night shifts, which means that she is seen visibly around town during mid-afternoon and around sunset. Late Nights are spent at the bar. Mornings are spent sleeping. Her sleep pattern isn't 100% predictable, but it's the closest thing to predictable in her life.

Unless Neo is actively disguising her behavior or location, she does not turn on her semblance. So she can be seen entering and leaving the Hair of the Dog and David Cliff Apartments with some regularity.

Basically, unless it says otherwise, she's not trying to hide her identity as of this date.
